TIP122 Transistor NPN Darlington

TIP122 Transistor pinout

The TIP122 transistor is a Darlington transistor often used to control high power switching and amplifications. It is a part of TIP series of NPN Darlington transistors. Transistor TIP122 consists of two NPN transistors connected in a Darlington configuration. This transistor can handle relatively high collector currents and moderate collector-emitter voltages (around 100 volts).

The TIP122 transistor is commonly available in a TO-220 package. It is normally mounted on a heat sink to manage heat dissipation. TIP122 primary applications include driving high-power loads like relays,  solenoids, and making it useful in various control and amplifier circuits.
